I’m delighted to recommend Evan as someone who has already proved himself to be a great asset to the Millbank team and a great prospect for the future.

On Cabinet reshuffle day in November, when I was live in Downing Street all afternoon, he was superb at looking up and passing on to me gems of interesting facts about ministers on the move. Absolutely invaluable.

He also provided excellent research for stories on David Cameron and the Greensill scandal, on James Cleverly’s Commons debut as home secretary and on the government’s legal migration crackdown.

He has a warm and friendly personality and is always offering to help with research and – when required – technical support! I wish him the very best of luck.

Evan has been a huge help in the Westminster newsroom and works with diligence, accuracy, and a maturity that’s beyond his years.

He was invaluable in helping me prepare for an overseas trip to Dubai with the Prime Minister in December, taking notes at briefings with government officials and the Labour leader.

He then put together a fantastic briefing pack for the trip that was circulated widely around Sky News.

Evan is very hard working and always friendly and clearly has a passion for politics and current affairs that I am sure will carry him far in his career.

Evan arrives at work early, completely across the political stories and their background, with knowledge of the government, opposition and other politicians.

He is quick and clever and therefore immensely useful.  Polite enough to fit in with others less well informed and always helpful.  Smartly dressed, keen and enthusiastic.  Quick at using all social platforms and technical media tools.

It has been a great benefit to have him working with us.

Clare Parry, Political News Editor, Sky News

Evan joined 'Sky News Breakfast with Kay Burley' for a short period - he worked on briefs for Kay, along with production in the morning and creating tweets for Kay's socials.

Evan sought out the experience himself after seeing us working in Millbank. He always turned up early for work, with the right attitude. He was ready to help with whatever was needed and had some thoughtful and creative briefs with a sound political knowledge.

Evan had a great attitude and clearly has a zest to learn.

Good luck on the journey - I'm sure you will do very well.

Freya Chappell, Producer, Sky News Breakfast / Breakfast with Kay Burley
